Introduction[]

As the title says, this blog is to clarify some things about Super Smash Bros verse and to determine the tiering of the characters of the verse.

NOTE: This blog is subject to constant changes due to the lore probaby having variations in the upgrades that the next DLCs may bring.

Master Hand and Crazy Hand[]

Unnamed

Let's start with these 2 guys and why they're so important in the scaling chain.

Master Hand[]

Basically Master Hand with a snap could create a stage, but how impressive is this feat? Let's see.

One of these stages is the Spear Pillar, that contains inside it Dialga and Palkia, that seem like to have the same power since both of they affect the game in their own way, but with the same relevance.

No, now I'm not trying to scale Master Hand to the canon Dialga and Palkia, is obviously stupid, but I want to make sure that is still an Universal+ feat. Why? Let's see Dialga's description. In Smash Brawl it'll have the following description:

  • "A Temporal Pokémon. This Legendary Pokémon is talked about as a deity in fables passed down through generations in the Sinnoh region. Identifiable by the diamondlike crystal in the center of its chest, Dialga is said to have set time in motion at the moment of its birth. Its fearsome Roar of Time attack is so powerful that it must refrain from attacking on its next turn."

In Smash 4 it'll have this one:

  • "The concept of time has always been one of the world's great mysteries, but Dialga might hold the answer. Legend has it that Dialga's birth caused time to begin moving! It's no surprise that the people of Sinnoh see this Pokémon as a deity. If you're ever running late, maybe you could ask Dialga to do you a favour and turn back the clock."

As confirmation of Palkia there being equal to Dialga let's see its description in Brawl.

  • "A Spatial Pokémon. In the Sinnoh region, this Pokémon has been revered for many generations, much like Dialga. Dialga warps time, but Palkia has control over space. It lives between parallel dimensions and is known for its power, rumored to be able to warp space. It can use Spatial Rend to rip through the very space an enemy resides in, damaging the foe at the same time."

So we can see that Master Hand without an effort created 2 Universal+ beings, making it A LOT above Baseline Universal+.

Crazy Hand[]

Crazy Hand is the equal of Master Hand, since it's its counterpart because, as Master Hand creates, Crazy Hand destroys, as we can see from its descriptions.

Melee:

  • "Where the Master Hand loves to create, his alter ego is impulsive and destructive, consumed with that hollow feeling which comes from destroying your own creations. The Crazy Hand appears when a player clears obstacles quickly and the Master Hand's power is low. You have only one chance to defeat the Crazy Hand."

Brawl:

  • "Seemingly a manifestation of the destructive spirit in direct contrast to Master Hand, who is the manifestation of the creative spirit. Crazy Hand appears out of nowhere when Master Hand's power begins to ebb. His repeated attacks evoke the bizarre. Those who must face Master Hand and Crazy Hand at the same time face a long and painful battle to the death."

Smash 4 (USA):

  • "The erratic Crazy Hand embodies destruction in the Smash Bros. universe. You can see madness in the way he moves and the attacks he unleashes. Pairing up with Master Hand makes him an especially dangerous foe. Be ready for an intense battle when their laughter fills the air."

Smash 4 (Europe):

  • "The personification of destruction in the Smash Bros. universe. There's madness in every move he makes. He'll drop bombs on you, squeeze you and squash you into the ground. When Master Hand and Crazy Hand pair up, they're incredibly dangerous. Prepare yourself for an intense battle when their laughter fills the air."

Also we can see a legit proof of both of them having an AP equal to their durability since they can clash on each other without any significant damage and slam themselves on the ground ot tanking their own explosions.

Master Core[]

MasterCore render

This guy is nothing than an evolution of Master Hand when it releases its true power. When Master Hand is defeated, we can see Crazy Hand running away for how much is scared from its power, putting Master Core at an another tier, making it able to one-shot its previous form and Crazy Hand as well.

Also its description is the following:

Europe:

  • "This sinister being will appear from Master Hand. A bunch of black objects, called "Swarm", will gather and mimic a variety of shapes, changing its attack pattern with each new form. After taking enough damage, it will reveal even more forms. Defeat the Swarm's forms to reveal its true core."

USA:

  • "This fearsome being is what Master Hand becomes when he transforms. The black mass around it, known as the "swarm", mimics the shape of beasts, blades and more, and changes its attack pattern with each transformation. At higher intensity levels, it'll take on even more forms. Defeat the swarm to reveal the true core."

Tabuu[]

SSBU Tabuu Spirit

Tabuu is the first "true villain" in the Smash Bros Series, since is the villain of the Subspace Emissary (and I personally liked it a lot).

Well, let's find out how powerful this guy is.

It basically could one shot Master Hand and the whole SSBB cast at once without too much effort, and that puts it on Master Core level.

After that we can see Tabuu trying to absorb some spheres, but what are they exactly?

Let's see. When it was doing so, Sonic catched it off-guard, since Tabuu thought that it defeated all the threats and it could absorb them in peace, but he didn't consider Sonic that broke its wings, making Tabuu far weaker, however, to fight it, 6 fighters were still needed, making even the weakened Tabuu much stronger than Master Hand.

When Tabuu got defeated, we can see these balls disappear, interrupting their growth in the different stages, that we said before being space-time continuums, so Tabuu would've absorbed all of them if not stopped.

How many stages/universes? 41 in total, making Tabuu Low Multiversal if it wasn't stopped.

Galeem[]

1200px-Galeem SSBU

Finally the most interesting part of this scaling chain. Let's start with the fact that this boi controlls an huuuuge army of Master Hands, 10 for any fighter, absorbs them all and then one-shots anyone of the cast and in any universe except Kirby who flew away.

If you followed all, you'll know that Galeem mind-haxed the fighers that were caught and all the other characters from an infinite amount of universes were reduced to mere spirits and forced to fight for Galeem. And in these Spirits we get even Winged Tabuu (who has probably probably succeeded in absorbing the 41 Universes) and Master Core.

There are in total 83 characters + 2 counting that the Pokémon Trainer is made of 3 characters (Charizard, Ivysaur and Squirtle) and all the 3 were fighting at the same time in the cutscene, having in total 85 characters, multiply that x10 and we get 850 Master Hands.

Why counting the DLC characters? The spirits of their world are there too, making them canon in the plot (however Sephiroth isn't counted here since his fight against Galeem likely happened in another timeline and he wasn't even in the army against the latter, making him unusable for this count).

Galeem was already their boss, so it's already superior to them all, but then absorbs them all, almost doubling up its power, making it >>> 1700 Master Hands in his strongest form, and I remind that each one of them are so strong to the point to easly one shot a baseline Universal+ being.

Dharkon[]

DharkonSpirit

Dharkon is nothing than the actual counterpart of Galeem and its eternal enemy, since after that Post-Absorbtion Galeem was defeated from the Player, it got weak, and Dharkon used that chance to defeat it.

But after Galeem returned in health, completely being in par with Dharkon.

Another proof of them being equal is that of the ending, in each one of them in the final battle (Player vs Galeem vs Dharkon).

  • If Galeem wins all becomes of light
  • If Dharkon wins all becomes of darkness
  • If the Player wins all is save and all the spirits return to home.

Obviously the true ending is the Player's, but that kinda confirms that both are equal.

The playable cast[]

The moment of the characters that we all love has arrived, and is time to say how strong they are.

But let's start with the fact that there are 6 versions of them , since the rooster changes in the various games, and so the boss fights as well.

Playable cast in 64[]

64 Roster

To make it clear, all the characters are these, without spending an hour to list them all.

Any of these characters can defeat Master Hand in a 1v1 fight with an animation confirming its defeat, making anyone of the 64 cast above Master Hand (still of a little margin).

Playable cast in Melee[]

Chudhjudvsjh

Any of these characters defeat both Master Hand at the Crazy Hand (that as said before they fight alongside unlike Galeem and Dhakon that are enemies) in a fight, making each one of the cast above both the Hands.

Giga-bowser-png-1

There's a powered version of Bowser called "Giga Bowser" as boss, however his defeat is a game-mechanic since is more a side mode instead of being in the classic (that is the canon one) so that version is still the most poweful character of the Melee cast, since is even so strong comparated to the og Bowser that is a grade superior to him, as said from his description:

  • "An even more imposing figure than the original King of the Koopas, Giga Bowser is roughly twice the size of his scaly, fire-breathing, spike-studded, Super Smash Bros. Melee counterpart. Predictably, this monstrous creature's offensive and defensive powers are a grade higher than those of regular Bowser. Good luck defeating this colossus!"

Playable cast in Brawl[]

Ghfvhvhggvh

As said in the Tabuu section, they defeat a weakened one with extreme difficulty and making a team of 6 characters needed.

3704

Vsb says that they can't scale from the bosses since Master Hand was already controlling Ganondorf as its servant, making Tabuu's defeat a PIS, but if you look with attention, Ganondorf after the order makes a malicious smile, meaning that soon or later he'd rebel to MH, making Ganondorf still superior (and if you know the character in canon, Ganondorf wouldn't be a slave of a weird giant flying hand anyway).

Giga Bowser is here too, making him the strongest one in the Brawl cast (but is still below Winged Tabuu due to lacking feats).

Playable cast in Smash 4[]

Hdvusdgud

In a 1v1 fight any of them can defeat Master Core with High Difficulty, with an animation confirming that too.

Giga Bowser is here too as well, making again the strongest character of a Smash cast.

Playable cast in Ultimate[]

Super-smash-bros-ultimate-12013.768x432

There are 2 versions of them, but why?

Remember when they were one-shotted from Galeem in the first fight? Assuming that at the start of the game they're a bit stronger the Smash 4 counterparts (also because Marth said that any Fighter can take 10 Master Hands at once, confirming that they are massively above MH in power) when they were defeated (since we saw them getting stronger in any new game), the question is "how they could defeat BOTH Galeem and Dharkon?".

Because the Spirits powered the Fighters, making them able to defeat the Gods of Light and Darkness, making them on a whole different level than the start of the game.

And the Spirits let them defeat even Giga Bowser in the plot (ofc he was without Spirits), making the scaling chain of them even bigger.
