This page is the overall explanation for Thor, Yggdrasil, and Those Who Sit Above in Shadows.[]

Summary[]

Although the most commonly used for Thor and Yggrasil through the entire community of vs debating is a vastly regular arguments that try to pass a image of these subjects just being at best low multiverse, this article will show all the evidences that commonly perspective used over the subject is a flaw of representation of that their truly are.

The following sections will serve as an overview of the many representations through these concepts and characters.

Yggdrasil[]

When you wonder what Yggdrasil is, what comes first is the definition Marvel Database, or even Marvel databooks, and the main explanation that come out for the reader is that Yggdrasil is;

Yggdrasill, the world tree, is an energy field that supports and connects the Ten Realms. It is represented as a tree the roots and branches of the tree each connect a different realm such as Asgard, Jotunheim, Muspelheim, Alfheim, Vanaheim, Nidavellir, Svartalfheim, Niffleheim and the earthly realm of Midgard through which all the connections pass. Initially, there were Ten Realms. The lost realm of Heven was cut from Yggdrasil by Odin after the war between Asgard and Heven seemingly cost the life of his newborn daughter Aldrif.

This information is not wrong, it is totally correct. But she's incomplete. However, this is just the tip of the iceberg, because these are the main realms of the Tree. Writers through many years developing the features through the World Tree pass a consistency of several decades ago until today, always trying to portray that the Tree does not boil down to only Nine realms or Ten realms. Yggdrasil is both a tree and an energy field and even more, it has 9 or 10 known realms by the Asgardians, but it is not limited to that number, and most of the superficial information on this interpretation, is due to Odin hiding from the Asgardians themselves what Yggdrasil is.

There are more than Ten known realms?[]

Yggrasil4

The Ten Realms [5]

As you can see the ten realms are just the "tip top" of Yggdrasil, and just what of the point of view and knowledge of most Asgardian Gods. However, there are many other known realms that surpass the lack of knowledge of the most norse gods. The first ten realms as everyone know are;

  1. Asgard
  2. Vanaheim
  3. Alfheim
  4. Midgard
  5. Jötunheim
  6. Nidavellir
  7. Muspelheim
  8. Svartalfheim
  9. Niffleheim
  10. Heven
  11. Olympus: Thor uses the Mjolnir through Yggdrasil that connect the nine realms to reached what would be the next realm, then he arrives at Olympus [6]
  12. Avalon (Other World) or Celtic Realm: Loki explains that surtur would destroy all the infinite realities of the Multiverse, because Otherworld is a realm of Yggdrasil [7]
  13. Ano-Athox: Another realm that Odin imprisoned, taking away his significant existence for the Asgardians, just as he did with Heven [8]

Also, there are many other known realms that are part of Yggdrasil, the Greek Gods themselves explain that Axis Mundi a.k.a the World Tree is a multi-layered system of beliefs that appears in as many forms as there are peoples on earth. It is the Totem Pole, The Maypole, The Banyan and The Bodhi Tree, The Golden Branches in the Crowns of Silla...

There are infinite realities or universes?[]

As shown in the above topic the Yggdrasil does not only support nine or ten realms, there are many more realms, the Asgardians just do not know it. But does that mean there are infinite universes, realms, or realities? No. However the comics itself tell us directly that Yggdrasil has infinite universes, realms, and realities. They also explain that each reality of the Tree is not pocket dimensions, but are fully formed whole realms and universes.

During the events of "Earth X" Mephisto created thousands of alternative realities in the multiverse, manipulating them all with hatred. And it is explained that the secret of Mephisto being able to travel through the Multiverse, was a kind of map that allowed him to access points for each of the alternative realities of the Multiverse. So Donnerson reveals that this map was one yggdrasil's roots, and explains that each tree's circle would be a different timeline. And the Tree grows with every new reality added to the Multiverse.

In addition, during Seth vs. Asgard event, a similar method was used, but the scale was to dominate all the infinite realms of space and time of the Multiverse through Yggdrasil.

Higher Dimensions[]

The multiverse is a multitude of complexity in its various aspects, however coming up to that point you probably realized that Yggdrasil is just like the Norse Gods see the form of the Multiverse. This will be as clear as possible in this section. According to the philosophy of the Asgardians we are presented as a lookout of the gates of Asgard, his name is Heimdall. However, what is the function of Heimdall? What are his powers? Heimdall's powers can be summed up as being him looking at the original form of Yggdrasil, and as he himself says, looking at all time and space laid out before his sight, the whole of the world tree and its branches. Infinite its complexities and yet so simples to Heimdall's eyes. [20]

With that point at hand, anything Heimdall achieves with his vision is something that is part of Yggdrasil, because that's what his vision does, he sees her branches. After the event "Black Galaxy Saga" we enter the final stretch of Volume 1 of Thor, there happens a plot in which Annihilus takes Odin and takes him to the Negative Zone, specifically in subspace. So Heimdall's search for Odin uses his powers granted by Yggdrasil, and his vision reaches the entire Negative Zone, and totally the subspace within it.

The importance of subspace being some of the branches of Yggdrasil due to entering the heimdall sight, is because there are Infinite Higher Dimensions,[22] and there is also the cross-section of parallel realities as we can see in the Hulk comics.[23]

Returning to the subject of the "alternative" realities of the multiverse, we should not treat them only as simple alternative universes but as universes that can exist in any higher dimension. And this is possible, according to Tegmark, his Multiverse Type III there an aspect about that, where it says that an alternative version of yourself can exist in a universe that exists in a hyperdimensional brane, within the infinite dimensional hilbert space. Tegmark writes that;

The only difference between Level I and Level III is where your doppelgängers reside. In Level I they live elsewhere in good old three-dimensional space. In Level III they live on another quantum branch in infinite-dimensional Hilbert space.

At marvel we have blatant evidence about this. Where writers work the idea of universes existing in Higher Dimensions.

Omniverse[]

Yggdrasil is also the so-called "omniverse" of Marvel, which would be all true eternity, or the entire Marvel Multiverse. has many senses of why the world tree be the omniverse itself, as has been described earlier in this blog, however the main factor lies in Otherworld. Previously I have shown that this realm, Avalon, is one of the realms of Yggdrasil. But its complexity and grandeur lies in covering everything that exists to the letter. Surtur's plan was to burn all the realities of the Omniverse because Otherworld allows it;

Furthermore, it is shown in other blatant ways that the entire structure and core of the Omniverse resides in the divine kingdoms of the Asgardians and as for that of the Celtic pantheon (Avalon).

And that means that Yggdrasil supports all the cosmic entities of the Hierarchy, Odin himself explains that the function of Yggdrasil is to be the Omniverse itself that supports this type of Entity, where he says that every time the Multiverse dies, the seed of the Tree goes into the Void beyond all the things that exist and recreates the entire Multiverse, and the new entities, such as galactus of the next multiverse. The conceptual beings like LT which is the cosmic entity responsible for the balance and judgment of the Multiverse, was born from the expansion of the big bang that gave rise to the multiverse. It is repeatedly said that.

Yggdrasil is called Omniverse by Loki himself after gaining the power of God of Stories, which embodies it in the most blatant way possible.

Rune King Thor and TSWAIS[]

Thor destroyed the entire Omniverse when he became Rune King Thor, and still defeated the Gods of the Gods. There it is said that Thor has attained the true and infinite form of Yggdrasil, which exists only as a concept in some realities.[38] And at the end of it all he destroyed her, and still destroyed the Gods of the Gods who fed on her. And it reached the realm of the TWSAIS that not even the destruction of the entire Omniverse by the Beyonders, can achieve their realm of existence.

  • Question: Why should Thor scale into most of Yggdrasil's comic books more than a decade after his 2000s feat?
  • Answer: Thor scales for all these comics because they are consistent as a whole just to work on the concept of the Tree, and in a matter of importance, the feat of it in Vol 2. is remembered by the TWSAIS in Loki: Agent of Asgard #17. The comic that showed that not even the destruction of all cosmic entities like Living Tribunal, Eternity and the others, mean something, they're all insignificant to the plan of existence of the TSWAIS

New additions of Yggdrasil after AoA[]

After the Agent of Asgard comic, Al Ewing develop several concepts for Marvel Multiverse, one of them is called Far Shore. Farshore is a concept where it says that the edge of the Multiverse exists beyond all kinds of concepts, space, time, death, and everything else. the Far Shore, is a void of nonexistence beyond all levels of space, time, life and death on a multiversal scale)

Conclusion[]

I haven't seen how entities are scaled from the Omni level, however anything just tell me that I fix the infinity way to deal with the Omni treats and add the Omni level+

  • Yggdrasil: At least High Hyper-Dimensional+ in her physcal main roots | At least Transcendent In its True Form, it supports the Far Shore within its Roots, which is a structure of that level.
  • TSWAIS: At least Transcendent Omniversal destruction is not significant to their realm of existence, far superior to the entities that were destroyed by the Beyonders
  • Thor: At least Transcendent Destroyed Yggdrasil, and it's the biggest threat the TSWAIS have ever seen making them get scared
