Summary[]
The main antagonist of Part II: Battle Tendency.
Kars is the leader of four Pillar Men who belonged to an ancient long-living race. Originally part of a group of people like him and his followers, even being a one of a kind genius among them, his future to have his people be able to rule the planet without fear of the sunlight was rejected, whereupon he was forced to eradicate the rest alongside Esidisi upon being sentenced to be killed for his insane plot. There, he and Esidisi spared only two infants, Wamuu and Santana, going on a search across the world to find a modified stone mask for them use to a Red Stone of Aja that can completely pierce through their skulls and remove their greatest weakness. Many events would come since their journey, from the Pillar Men destroying a clan of Hamon practitioners to Santana going off on his own, eventually culminating on Kars and his remaining two companions, Wamuu and Esidisi to take a two-millennia slumber underneath a Coliseum in Rome.
Upon reawakening, Kars and his two companions immediately resume their hunt for the Red Stone of Aja, along the way getting into conflict with present day Hamon practitioners whom they thought to have gone extinct.
Powers and Stats[]
Dimensionality: 3D
Threat Level: Demon- | Demon-
Powers and Abilities:
- Enhanced Senses
- Extra Sense (Could sense the presence of others by their body temperature.)
- Enhanced Hearing (As a Pillar Men, his senses should be equal or superior to stone mask users like Dio who could sense one's breathing and heartbeat)
- Immortality
- Type 1 (Pillar Man are beings of a long-lived species that existed thousands of years ago, and Kars and his fellow Pillar Man have used the mask to make themselves immortal. Kars, in particular, was born around 100,000 years ago and has remained physically the same to the main storyline)
- Type 2 (Pillar Man can survive after being reduced to just a nervous system by Hamon and still be able to possess other bodies while reduced to this state. Pillar Man can also survive as just a detached head as shown by Wamuu. Even Dio, a vampire and inferior being to the Pillar Man, have shown to do the same)
- Type 3 and Regeneration (High-Mid; A Pillar Man's regeneration is superior to that of normal vampires like Straizo, who regenerated from being blown apart by grenades and was stated in order to cease the life functions of Santana, an inferior Pillar Man, the body must be shredded into 1cm squared pieces. Possibly Mid-High; Even the dust from their body is alive and can reassemble itself, though whether this is the true limit of their healing ability or something that can only be done if sufficient body mass is already present is unknown)
- Type 6 (Pillar Man can live on by possessing other bodies while reduced to this state)
- Body Control (Like vampires, Pillar Men can easily control their physiology, and Kars can grow bladed appendages from his limbs; Santana, a weaker and less evolved Pillar Man, was capable of controlling his own skeletal structure and can control even tiny pieces of his body separately. Pillar Men can stretch their bodies and contort them beyond recognition)
- Absorption and Acid Manipulation (Pillar Men like Santana possess cells that release a digestive acid which quickly dissolves victims on a cellular level on contact, allowing them to easily absorb other lifeforms)
- Light Manipulation (His shining blades produce blinding light, can emit light even without his sabre)
- Possession (Pillar Men are able to invade bodies and control them. When reduced to a nervous system, Esidisi was able to invade Suzi Q's body and control her)
- Self-Sustenance (Type 1; Pillar Men should be capable of surviving without oxygen like Stone Mask Vampires, and Kars was implied to have used the Stone Mask on himself. Can survive for millennia incased within stone and as just a brain)
- Resistance to Pain (Can endure damage and injury which would normally cause tremendous pain with little, if any, issue)
All previous abilities to a greater extent in addition to:
- Self-Sustenance (All types; Capable of surviving without oxygen and sleep indefinitely. Can survive without nutritional sustenance but can't stay active for longer then a year. Capable of surviving for eternity in the depths of space)
- Enhanced Senses
- Telescopic Sight, Enhanced Hearing, Enhanced Awareness, and potentially more (His eyesight is comparable to a space telescope, his hearing is even greater and can detect sound on a multitude of frequencies, and his horn detects heat and air pressure; As the Ultimate Lifeform, he can likely duplicate the senses of any other organism on Earth)
- Biological Manipulation to a greater degree (On top of the usual Pillar Man abilities, he can transform parts of his body on a cellular level into any other living thing on Earth and even improve upon their biology, capable of even creating separate organisms from pieces of himself)
- Shapeshifting (He can transform parts of his body into any other living thing on Earth and can grow wings for Flight)
- Martial Arts (Seemingly instantly mastered the Sendo technique, the way of the hermit. Is also a capable close-quarters combatant)
- Statistics Amplification (Empowers his body with the Hamon breathing technique and energy, amplifying his body and physical prowess)
- Vibration & Energy Manipulation (Through a unique breathing technique, Hamon users can draw out vibrations from their blood flow and create energy waves with the properties of sunlight, capable of transferring it towards objects and people. This can be used to harm any opponent weak to sunlight through contact with any living or non-living thing charged with Hamon)
- Durability Negation (via Hamon)
- Regeneration Negation (High-Mid, but only against opponents weak to sunlight)
- Light Manipulation (By utilizing Hamon, he can channel energy with the properties of sunlight and transfer it into other organisms and objects to cause harm, as well as his original Light Mode)
- Non-Physical Interaction (Hamon can be conducted through incorporeal Stands)
- Adaptation (Biological and Physiological Types; Due to his ability to utilize the powers and biology of any living thing on earth, Kars could adapt to any earthly environment and even survive in them such as creating a makeshift shield combo while submerged in lava)
- Possibly Greater degree of Regeneration (At least High-Mid; described as immortal and unkillable even in comparison to his previous form, but that may be because of his immunity to sunlight and Hamon)
- Likely many other abilities (He can utilize the powers of any living thing on Earth, which may include the likes of vampires, such as Dio Brando)
Physical Strength: Multi Block level Striking Strength with Class 1000, likely Class 25 Lifting Strength (As Pillar Men are superior to vampires, they should be easily capable of performing the same feats easily as that of Tarkus and Dio) | Multi Block level+ Striking Strength with Class 1000, likely Class 25 Lifting Strength
Attack Potency: Multi Block (Pillar Men are undoubtedly stronger than any vampire or zombie, viewing and treating them simply as "food" whilst easily overpowering them for the sake of consumption. Kars in particular goes even further, being the strongest among the Pillar Men, and treating Santana as weak), Higher with Light-Mode (Bisected Rudol von Stroheim and impaled Lisa Lisa; with her only surviving as he avoided her vitals on purpose. Joseph stated that while he was confident to blocking his punches and kicks, he wasn't so sure on surviving Kars saber blade even if he concentrated all of his Hamon into one spot), can ignore conventional durability with Absorption (His body produces acids that rapidly break down cells and allow him to easily absorb any other organism through body contact) | Multi Block+, likely higher (Should be far stronger then he was previously as his nature of the Ultimate Lifeform. His Hamon was described as being a hundred times stronger than Joseph's), can ignore durability with Absorption and Hamon
Durability: Multi Block (The toughest of the Pillar Men, far superior to the likes of Dio Brando) | Multi Block+ (Should be more durable than before. Was sent crashing headfirst into a volcano by an airplane that exploded on him and then survives said volcano going erupt, only being affected by lava slowly melting his body. Stated to be completely unkillable by anything on Earth at the time and weapons don't work on him, though whether this is due to his physiology, durability or a combination of both isn't clear), Immortality and Regeneration make him difficult to kill.
Speed: Supersonic (Reacted to and blitzed bullets shot at him at 600 rpm), FTL+ reactions (Reacted to a UV beam at close range) and with Light Mode (was able to move and disappear before light can completely dissipate, despite the source coming from Kars himself), possibly FTLx (As Pillar Men are superior to vampires in the same way vampires are superior to humans, Kars is possibly faster and thus just as capable of doing what other vampires like DIO can react to)
Intelligence: Super Genius (Each Pillar Man possesses an exceptional capacity for intelligence and learning above that of any regular human, allowing them to grasp complex machinery and technology within seconds and learn modern languages nearly just as quickly. This, combined with his willingness to do anything in order to win, is what makes Kars such a deadly opponent. When possible, rather than fight one-on-one, Kars relies on misdirection to trick and catch his opponents by surprise, and fights carefully, methodically, and observantly. Furthermore, Kars was one of the greatest minds of the already brilliant Pillar Men, creating the Stone Masks and using them on himself to unlock his true potential, and then proceeding to use his newfound abilities to slaughter the rest of his kind alongside Esidisi. After evolving to become the Ultimate Lifeform, Kars was able to instantly use the Hamon flawlessly despite having never done so before and his IQ is stated to be 400, making him even smarter than he already have)
Stamina: Superhuman | Limitless
Range: Extended melee range | Extended melee range, Tens of meters with projectiles, Kilometers with abilities
Weakness: Sunlight, while incapable of killing Pillar Men, can still cause them to start turning into stone, thereby incapacitating them. Hamon is as effective on a Pillar Men as it is on vampires. | Thanks to his newfound powers, Kars is extremely overconfident. He cannot properly adapt to the vacuum of space, which will immobilize him, leaving him to drift in the void forever.

Noteworthy Techniques and Abilities[]
- Pillar Man: Kars is one of the four remaining Pillar Men, the ancient and extremely powerful beings who once ruled the Earth and created vampires, for use as a food source. While humanoid in appearance, Pillar Men have incredibly unusual biologies, with the most obvious sign of their inhuman nature being their horns. They can control their bodies with exceptional versatility, such as transforming their skeletal structure for combat purposes and flattening themselves and their organs. Like the vampires he created, Kars is an immortal being, but he is also weak to sunlight, which will turn him to stone, as well as to Hamon, which can be used to destroy his body completely.
- Absorption: Each of a Pillar Man's cells produces a highly caustic digestive acid that can quickly break down a victim on a cellular level on contact, making even the slightest touch potentially fatal. Esidisi was able to utilize this ability to replace an arm destroyed by Hamon. This is not effective on Hamon users, however, as Kars' cells instinctively avoid the danger this presents.
- Biological Possession: Even if reduced to merely a nervous system, a Pillar Man can invade the body of an opponent and take control of them.
- Light Mode: Kars' "mode" granted by the usage of the Stone Mask to unlock his own heightened capabilities. In his case, this allows him to grow bladed appendages, covered in tiny, shark-like teeth, which can reflect exceptionally bright light to blind his opponents. These blades are also exceptionally sharp, and can easily cut through multiple layers of steel.
- Regeneration: Pillar Men have regenerative capabilities superior to the already exceptional regeneration of vampires, which Straizo utilized to pull his body back together after he was blown apart by grenades.
- The Ultimate Lifeform: By using the Red Stone of Aja combined with a specially modified Stone Mask, Kars evolved into a new, ultimate form that contained the DNA of every single living thing on Earth. In this form, not only is Kars vastly more powerful than before, but he has also transcended the limitations of the Pillar Men, losing his weakness to Hamon and conquering the Sun itself. His senses are vastly superior as well, with his sight proving comparable to that of a space telescope.
- Ultimate Body Control: With the genetic information of every living thing on Earth running through his veins, Kars can transform parts of his body into any other organism and shapeshift as he chooses, picking and choosing any trait from the tree of life as he wishes. He can transform his limbs into animals, like hyper-aggressive, cannibalistic squirrels which are under his control, grow wings for flight, turn his feathers into protective scales without losing his ability to fly, and create a crustacean's shell and a heatproof layer of bubbles to shield himself from lava.
- Hamon: As the Ultimate Lifeform, Kars has gained the ability to utilize Hamon, also known as Sendo and the Ripple, using it to produce energy of a much higher magnitude than Joseph was capable of. Drawing from the light of the sun and the steady breathing of its user, Hamon energy is used to combat beings of darkness such as zombies, vampires and Pillar Men. A user of Hamon can channel it through all sorts of objects, animate or inanimate, to reach a target. Liquids conduct Hamon especially well, but as it is reliant on the user's breathing, if this is cut off, Hamon cannot be utilized.
