Summary[]

Archer is the Archer-Class Servant of Tokiomi Tohsaka during the Fourth Holy Grail War. After Tokiomi's death, he reforged a new pact with Kirei Kotomine that lasted until the Fifth Holy Grail War.

His True Name is Gilgamesh, the King of Heroes and the hero of the oldest epic poem in human history. He was a demigod, born from the union of King Lugalbanda and the goddess Rimat-Ninsun. Gilgamesh governed and protected Uruk from anything, eventually turning against the gods.

While in his youth, Gilgamesh was a good-hearted youngster. Nonetheless, he grew up to be a ruthless tyrant. Though Uruk's people suffered, the city prospered. Disgusted by Gilgamesh's misbehavior, the gods created Enkidu to regain control over him. For the first time in his life, Gilgamesh faced an equal. He fought Enkidu for days, even emptying his vault. After the battle ended, the two became close friends. They worked and adventured for years, battling monsters and protecting Uruk together. Later, the goddess Ishtar fell in love with him, but he rejected her. As a result, the Bull of Heaven was unleashed on Uruk.

After the seven years of devastation, Gilgamesh and Enkidu bound the beast with the Chains of Heaven and defeated it. Enraged and humiliated, Ishtar pleaded for their deaths, but only Enkidu was punished, reduced to nothing but mud. A distraught Gilgamesh cursed the gods, swearing that he would never call another his friend. Seeing his only equal perish, Gilgamesh became obsessed with his own mortality and set out on a journey to become immortal. He searched out the sage Ziusudra, an immortal who lived even before the Great Flood that had wiped out most of humankind. After decades of research, he found Ziusudra's longevity stems from being half-plant. Still, the sage told Gilgamesh about another method, a herb that would make him immortal without relying on the gods or giving up his humanity.

Gilgamesh ultimately discovered the miracle herb and, for the first time in his life, felt genuine contentment by the grand achievement. However, a snake ate the herb he had left aside carelessly during his bath. The King of Heroes laughed hysterically as he realized his journey had been for nothing. He eventually returned to Uruk, having come to terms with his mortality and limited lifespan. There, he ruled Uruk as a wise king until he finally passed.

Powers and Stats[]

Dimensionality: 3D

Threat Level: Dragon+. At least Dragon+, likely Far Higher with Enuma Elish

Powers and Abilities:

Has Resistance to the following:

Physical Strength: At least City level

Attack Potency: At least City physically (Comparable to the likes of Saber and Lancer. As a Servant with actual legend and history behind his name and an older age, Gilgamesh should be no weaker than a Servant with no legend such as Archer). Mountain with Gate of Babylon (His Gate of Babylon possess Noble Phantasms with ranks from E~A++, with the A-ranks and up being notable enough to enable him in harming Berserker, and are strong enough to destroy Caster's conceptual shield that's as strong as Berserker's skin. Has several nameless and unknown ranked Noble Phantasms capable of splitting apart mountains. Even a mere barrage of lower-ranked ones are enough to prove a threat to any Servant. In Strange Fake, he states he can wipe out Snowfield, a city large enough to fit a population of 800,000 people, if given the command by Tine. Possesses the Noble Phantasm Merodach, the originator of swords like Caliburn and, due to its mystery, is superior than the latter and thus has the same level of power that allowed a Projection of it made by Shirou and wielded by Saber to kill Heracles 7 times over in one attack. Nasu states that Gilgamesh could defeat Saber Alter, a stronger version of the normal Saber, in favorable conditions). At least Island with Enuma Elish (Enuma Elish is the fullpower state of Gilgamesh's Ea, with an output consistently stated in numerous materials to match if not exceed Excalibur, blatantly shown in the events of FSN. In Fate/Grand Order, Gilgamesh used it to destroy Beast II, who was stated to be unbeatable even for the likes of Quetzalcoatl and other divinities like Ishtar to beat, the latter possessing a Noble Phantasm capable of destroying mountain ranges and former capable of stopping it in addition to possessing a Noble Phantasm capable of replicating the event that killed the dinosaurs. However, this only occurred after Tiamat was removed from earth into a place where her immorality did not apply and had the concept of death placed onto her, putting Tiamat in a state where Gilgamesh can land the definite killing blow), likely Far Higher (It is an EX-ranked "Anti-World" Noble Phantasm, often stated in materials as a weapon able to "cut apart the world", and said to be a weapon that attacks not just the enemy, but all things that are in the world. Even before firing off Enuma Elish in his battle against Iskander in Fate/Zero, each of the sword's three cylinders rotated with a weight and power equal to moving tectonic plates. In Fate/Strange Fake, its charge drew in so much air to create wind that exceeded the laws of physics and created a fissure in space that ripped apart the air and clouds like "paper", eventually coming to bring around destruction to the planet upon being unleashed were it not stopped. It was only stopped by Enkidu's Enuma Elish, who's own charge up caused all of the planet to have its energy drawn in order to counter it and the end result of their clash conjured numerous tornadoes of unknown size to be formed as an after-effect.). Can ignore conventional durability in a number of ways.

Durability: At least City physically (Shouldn't be any less durable than the likes of Saber, Lancer, and Archer), Mountain with golden armor (WoG states his armor can allow him to tank Assassin's Tsubame Gaeshi, which would have killed even Saber at her peak under Rin had it not been chipped, even with help from her Instinct to avoid it. Was largely intact after taking a reflected Merodach to the face, the latter a Noble Phantasm nearly as powerful as Excalibur, which should at least be as powerful as Caliburn, which a projection of it formed by Shirou and assisted by Saber was capable of killing Berserker 7 times over; however, Gil was also visibly harmed if also annoyed by the attack. He also intercepted and blocked True Archer's arrow, losing only a portion of his gauntlet in the process) and shields (the shields in his treasury are durable enough to handle being hit repeatedly by King Richard's Excalibur which, while not able to match that of King Arthur's Excalibur, due to its property rank of being able to reach up to A+ and using one of Gil's weapons from his treasury, would allow him to hit as hard as similarly ranked Noble Phantasms like Balmung and Clarent Blood Arthur)

Speed: At least Supersonic, likely higher (Can keep up with Saber's blows. Materialized his armor in time to defend a blow from Saber. Reacted and dodged a surprise attack from Lancer, though it was likely he anticipated it. Reacted to and blocked an arrow from True Archer; True Archer's arrows can shoot as far as 20 km and travel at faster than sound speeds. His Noble Phantasm defenses are also fast enough to intercept True Archer's supersonic arrows. His Gate of Babylon have a firing rate similar to a machine gun's)

Intelligence: At least High. Created to be the pinnacle of all humans by the gods during the age of gods declining era and hold on the growing human civilization, Gilgamesh is a brilliant individual, clearly seeing through deceptions and discerning any forms of magecraft with a glance. Even without the use of his precognitive sight and having a very low ranked magic resistance as well as a generally large ego, Gilgamesh is keen enough to simply obstruct any mages or the like from using any form of large sorcery by simply using his treasury to overwhelm them or even use any item inside to perfectly counter them. He could predict the number of weapons Shirou would project at once and counter him with an equal amount of armaments from his treasury. Additionally, Gil is also perceptive enough to immediately saw through Caster's faked death and backed away from Saber after she formed a contract with Rin, knowing of the danger she now posed compared to being under Shirou. Sha Naqba Imuru also allows him to see all possible outcomes, allowing him to make the correct move and discern his opponents' true identities and Noble Phantasms. However, these advantages are held back by his incredible arrogance, as he refuses to go all out against most opponents due to believing himself to be far above them, actively restraining the use of Sha Naqba Imuru, and only releasing more than a few Noble Phantasms at a time when he's feeling playful or irritated. Due to his position as a king rather than a warrior, he has only mastered a handful of the Noble Phantasms stored in his treasury, preventing him from unleashing their powers most of the time.

Stamina: Very high (States his battle with False Lancer, Enkidu, would have gone for three whole days and nights had there been no interruptions; This claim is further stated by Enkidu in a flashback telling how his battle with Gilgamesh "lasted days". Due to his Independent Action being highly ranked at A+, Gilgamesh can operate on his own without needing a Master to supply him with mana. Gil's own Spirit Core is worth a few hundred thousand human souls, possessing far more energy than any normal Human or Servant in existence. It's stated that his magical cost for using the Gate of Babylon is merely by activating it, allowing him to keep on using it without fear of being drained out of his reserves for quite a long time)

Range: Extended Melee range to hundreds of meters with Treasury/Gate of Babylon, thousands of meters or more with Enuma Elish

Weakness: Most Standard Servant Physiology weaknesses. Highly egotistical and arrogant. Is too prideful and hesitant to use Ea on those he deems unworthy unless he's given no choice as shown in his fight against Shirou and Alcides. Always keeps Sha Naqba Imuru turned off. His Enkidu's effect is made primarily to bind anyone of divine nature or origin, and while it can still be used on non-divine objects or beings, its restraining effect won't activate and thus will behave as a normal (if strong) chain that can potentially break.

Arsenal[]

His treasury, Gate of Babylon. Chains of Heaven - Enkidu. Sword of Rupture - Ea.

Noteworthy Techniques and Abilities[]

Independent Action: The ability to remain independent and exist in the world without the magical energy supplied by a Master, allowing the Servant to act autonomously and the Master to save their magic power for spells. Under normal circumstances, Gilgamesh's A-rank enables him to operate without a Master for an entire week, but needs one in order to use grand Noble Phantasms. After being incarnated by the Grail's Mud, it was upgraded to A+, allowing him to use more of his high-cost abilities, including his strongest Noble Phantasms, without the need for a Master. Through this, he remained materialized for an entire decade even after the Fourth Holy Grail War had ended, surviving up to the events of the Fifth Holy Grail War.

Magic Resistance: An ability that grants protection against magical effects. Unlike the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether. Gilgamesh himself does not have any abilities that allow him to resist magecraft, with the Archer-Class container granting him an E-Rank that merely reduces the damage he takes from magical attacks rather than outright nullifying it, a fact that may be related to his contract under Kirei due to the latter's lack of mana to supply him with. However, this can change depending on who Gilgamesh is summoned by or under contract with as when Tokiomi summoned him, he gained C-Rank Magic Resistance, allowing him the proper ability to nullify spells below two verses but cannot defend against Magecraft on the level of High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals. Even when at E-rank, however, Gilgamesh possesses items that enable him to defend against magical-based attacks such as his golden armor, can defend him against petrification as well as transmutation attacks like Ishtar's "Divine Retribution" which changed Nero Bride, who has higher magic resistance than Gilgamesh normally have, was still affected. These items are well-protected as it even allows him to defend himself from Rin's magecraft, which can be as high as A-rank.

Charisma: The natural talent to command an army, which increases the ability of allies during group battles. In Gilgamesh's case, it is no longer fame but rather a kind of curse or magic due to his A+ Rank proficiency, causing normal humans to prostrate themselves at his feet in his mere presence. It can also be used as a form of subtle Mind Manipulation, getting people to do what he wants without much resistance. It also because of his high-ranked Charisma that Gilgamesh leading an army will enable him to increase their abilities and morality tremendously.

Collector: A "talent" in collecting high-quality goods, a sort of supernatural luck that draws rare items into Gilgamesh's hands. Gilgamesh has collected all the Earth's treasures, grasping the essence of human ingenuity. And because of his EX rank in this skill, the various treasures that counted inside his vault in the state of “what is yours belongs to me”. There are also cases where, if he were presented with a target treasure, he would discover from his vault the “original” that became its basis and relabel it.

Divinity: The measure of one's Divine Spirit aptitude, reflected in high ranks by the user becoming part Divine Spirit. At A-rank, it is an indicator of one who has reached godhood. Additionally, it possesses another effect that allows one to reduce "Anti-Purge defense" in proportion to the rank of their Divinity, allowing them to break through defensive abilities such as Protection of the Faith and Saver's Enlightenment of the Sacred Fig. Gilgamesh would typically have an A+ Rank in this skill due to being two-thirds divine from his human father, the King of Uruk Lugalbanda, and his mother, the Goddess Rimat-Ninsun. This would make him even more divine than other Servants like Heracles, whose rank is A and who ascended to Godhood after his original death. However, his rank has dropped to B due to his distaste for the gods for killing his only friend, Enkidu, after causing trouble for him including unleashing the Bull of Heaven onto his city.

Golden Rule: A skill that measures one ability and fortune to obtain wealth. Having been fated to live a life filled with riches, and having said to collect all kinds of treasure, many of which are the originals to the numerous Noble Phantasms used by hundreds of heroes that he has also collected during his lifetime as well as possessing enough wealth never to have any concerns about poverty in any era he appears in, he possesses a rank of A in this skill. Though a skill largely unrelated to combat, it has its uses in arming Gilgamesh.

Gate of Babylon: The King's Treasure: Gilgamesh's grand treasury and his primary Noble Phantasm. It is a storehouse that contains the countless treasures of the world collected during his entire lifetime. Using Key of the King's Law, Bab-ilu, he can open an invisible door to its contents to summon them whenever he pleases. Inside the vault contains the prototypes of all Noble Phantasms that would later be passed down to many heroes after his time due to their legends and myths deriving from his own, which are fired from his vault as projectiles. He can also gather them directly into his hand for when he wants to fight up close. Due to the sheer number of Noble Phantasms he possesses, one can't try and take them head-on as they possess various unknown abilities to properly counter virtually any Servant recorded in the Throne of Heroes. The rate and power of the Noble Phantasms he releases depend on his situation and mood, how Gilgamesh will use them, and who he faces. Additionally, he can have them summoned right next to his opponent or from all directions to either attack them in surprise or to overwhelm them. The way he uses this Noble Phantasm, having adopted this manner from his fight with Enkidu in life, makes him summoned into the Archer class. In any way he fights, Gilgamesh's sheer quantity and quality of Noble Phantasms allows him to overwhelm even the greatest of Servants by targeting their weaknesses with the Noble Phantasms.

It has an incredibly efficient mana cost, merely needing only the activation of its gate opened to be used up. This allows Gilgamesh to prepare and produce hundreds or even a thousand Noble Phantasm at once if he wishes and can return them to the vault whenever he pleases, even mid-flight and without any signs of tiring out or using up a lot of mana on his part. The Gate of Babylon contains all treasures in the world, including the "wisdom of humanity" or, in other words, the basis for all things constructed by humans throughout history, from the works of the Library of Alexandria to board games, to even airplanes and submarines. The only technology he lacks are things created by humans with entirely new concepts and the technology of extraterrestrial races. Furthermore, while he does not possess Noble Phantasms that were made before or after his time, such as some Divine Constructs, or Noble Phantasms that are formed from a Heroic Spirit's life and legend like God Hand as well as one's that were not said to be used like Vasavi Shakti, he would possess something that could be considered their prototypes, even if it was a paradox due to his status as Humanities first and oldest hero.

The following are several of the many contents shown in his treasury:

  • Anti-Spirit Incense: An ash-like powder that attracts walking corpses like those summoned by Angra Mainyu.
  • Auto-Defensors: A series of discs that float around Gilgamesh. The defensors can defend an area as large as a single-floor building. They are one of Gilgamesh's defensive items in his treasury, able to defend him from virtually any projectile by shooting them down with innumerable lightning bolts as they approach. It provides sufficient protection against even a storm of surprise attacks from Enkidu. However, a sufficiently fast projectile, such as True Archer's arrows, would be able to bypass them altogether.
  • Dáinsleif: A demonic sword from the Nibelungen. It is a cursed Noble Phantasm that contains a powerful curse of "reparation" to be used on its target. It also drives the fate of its possessor to ruin and causes them to die inevitably. Within the Skáldskaparmál, it is possessed by the Danish king, Hogni. He became trapped in eternal combat with Serkland's king, Hedinn, due to the sword's curse, which requires it always to kill a man once drawn and prevents it from returning to its sheath until this is accomplished.
  • Durandal: The Peerless Sword: Originally the sword of Hector, he converted it into the spear Durindana. After it later lost its features as a spear, it became Durandal. It was later said to have been granted to King Charlemagne of the Frankish Empire by an angel and awarded to Roland. It is noted as the Battle of Roncevaux Pass symbol told of in the Song of Roland. Although Roland attempted to break the sword when he was on the verge of death to keep it from falling into the enemy's hands, it proved impossible. Still, it was later prominently featured in Charlemagne's legends, acting as a symbol of Roland's bravery. The sword is a splendidly forged "symbol of power," much like King Arthur's Caliburn, and it is said to hold three miracles within it.
  • Enkidu: Chains of Heaven: Gilgamesh's most trusted Noble Phantasm in his treasury, a weapon he favors even more so than Ea. It is a set of chains named after his closest friend, a being made to bind even the gods themselves. It is one of the few Anti-Divine Noble Phantasms, growing stronger when used against those with divine blood such as Heracles, becoming more effective the higher their rank of Divinity, with its use being said by Gil to have once chained down the Bull of Heaven. These chains are also said to bind space itself, and those caught in it cannot escape even via a Command Seal, though Berserker, in his last moments of desperation, was able shatter the chains and escape, and even before that was said by Gilgamesh to start resisting out of it. Against a non-divine Servant like Saber, Archer, and Assassin, it is nothing but a strong chain. Gilgamesh can summon Enkidu from anywhere with the Gate of Babylon, even using its bladed end as a weapon or draw enemies closer. When using it with Ea, he will draw it out fully.
  • Gáe Bolg: The spear of Cú Chulainn, a massive two-meter long weapon with the ability to consistently strike the opponent's heart. Gilgamesh, however, lacks the knowledge necessary to activate this ability; nonetheless, he can fire it as a powerful projectile that inflicts wounds that cannot be healed naturally.
  • Gram: Sword of the Sun: The sword wielded by Sigurd in the Völsunga saga of Norse mythology. It is said to be the "strongest demonic sword" that equals the "strongest holy sword," so it possesses the unique characteristic of "dragon slayer." The version Gilgamesh owns seems to be before it was reforged.
  • Houtengeki: A halberd passed down in Chinese culture and the only type of halberd out of many to attain the rank of Noble Phantasm, probably due to the use of Houtengageki by a famous military commander. It is a polearm with many different purposes, such as thrusting, swiping, pulling, parrying, etc. Chinese halberds with a spearhead at the tip of the shaft and a blade attached to the side. The distinguishing characteristic of a Houtengeki is a unique crescent-moon-shaped side blade, the “Moon Fang.” Weapons with only one of these blades are called Seiryugeki. It is said that great skill is needed to handle this weapon. However, once mastered, its versatility and ease of use allowed it to serve the appropriate role for any combatant.
  • Immortal Slaying Scythe, Harpe: The Snake Hunter's Scythe, a divine sword from Greek mythology used by Perseus to kill the Gorgon Medusa and one of the many weapons inside Gilgamesh's Gate of Babylon. It is described as a monster-killing holy sword with a distinctive shape similar to a scythe, having the cutting edge on the inside of the blade. However, it isn't a great weapon by itself. Its real strength is its trait of Refraction of Longevity. This divine ability nullifies immortalities and inflicts wounds that cannot be restored by any methods other than natural healing.
  • Merodach: The Original Sin: A mighty sword Gilgamesh uses to determine if his opponent is worthy of facing Ea. It is the prototype of "the swords of selection across the globe," making it the prototype of swords who follow said concept such as Gram and Caliburn. Due to being the prototype of said swords, its strength as a Noble Phantasm is exceptional, allowing it to shatter Caliburn in a single clash without resistance. Despite the difference in appearance, its "true nature" and "soul" are nearly identical to its successors; as such, it utilizes the same power, a "light that can burn away everything it touches," that could kill Berserker in one slash.
  • Mountain-Piercing Spears: A series of unnamed spears that can easily pierce mountains.
  • Potion of Youth: A Noble Phantasm that rejuvenates the users, contained within a small translucent bottle. It is the herb of immortality that Gilgamesh sought and found after the death of his closest friend, Enkidu. While he lost it and came to terms with his mortality, he still tried and found it again to have it in his treasury. When he drinks it, he returns to his child self, altering his personality and appearance. He only uses it to blend into the world. He tolerates modern society, such as within the ten-year gap between the Fourth and Fifth Holy Grail Wars, or when he sees something as a childish game that isn't worthy of his full strength. He can forcibly reverse the effects whenever he pleases to return to his older self.
  • The Great Cup of Uruk: A powerful artifact equal to the Holy Grail in worth. It contains a vast amount of magical energy that allows it to function as a flawed wish-granting device that the Three Goddess Alliance could use to reshape the world of Mesopotamia in their image.
  • Vajra: A weapon appearing in the Vedic mythology of ancient India. It was a weapon crafted by Tvastar, the maker of divine instruments, using the sage's bones, Dadhichi. It became a symbol of the divinity of Indra, the god of lightning, and the indestructible diamond pounder weapon carried by the gods of Buddhism. It was held in one interpretation to manifest Indra’s lightning, supported by its deceptions as a golden projectile and its appearance unbefitting of a conventional weapon. Vajra was initially known by its proper name of Vjaya when Indra was first introduced to India as a phenomenon that spread from the Aryans. Along with Indra, whose name changed to Taishakuten, his divine symbol changed its name and became known as Vajra after the age of Buddhism as India's main religion began. It is a simple weapon that can only be shot once for fixed B+ rank damage separate from the user's magical energy supply.
  • Vimana: Throne of the Heaven-soaring King: A flying contraption passed from Babylon and India that appeared within the Ramayana and Mahabharata, and one of the many Noble Phantasms within the Gate of Babylon. It surpasses any jet from the modern era, fueled by crystals burning mercury as fuel. Even when Gilgamesh was fooling around, he easily outpaced Lancelot in a fighter jet elevated to a Noble Phantasm by Knight of Owner. He uses the Gate of Babylon freely while piloting Vimana. It has many functions, including ancient machine guns, nuclear warheads, stealth functions, communication interception technology, laser cannons, and biological weapons.
  • Unnamed Anti-Magic Sickle: An enormous sickle that drains magical energy and can cut through magical implements such as Saber's armor or Berserker's Knight of Owner.
  • Unnamed Dimensional Refraction Artifact: An artifact that defends against attacks that use the Multi-Dimensional Refraction Phenomenon, allowing Gilgamesh to block attacks that come from parallel universes such as Sasaki Kojirou's Tsubame Gaeshi.
  • Unnamed Dragon-Slaying Longsword: Gilgamesh also possesses a longsword that slew an oriental dragon in the past.
  • Unnamed Freezing Sword: Gilgamesh possesses a sword that would freeze any target struck as well as the area around them, covering the victim in ice even if they managed to dodge the initial strike for as long as they're within relative proximity of the blade.
  • Unnamed Invisibility Ring: A ring that wards off the attention of ordinary people, preventing them from noticing him. It doesn't work on magi or other magical beings.
  • Unnamed Invisible Sword: A sword described as "invisible like Saber's" that Gilgamesh fires as a projectile.
  • Unnamed Lens: A golden ring with a single, warped lens that allowed Gilgamesh to view anyone or anything, such as True Archer from twenty kilometers away.
  • Unnamed Levitation Treasure: An unnamed treasure that allows Gilgamesh to levitate in mid-air.
  • Unnamed Lightning Noble Phantasm: Gilgamesh can launch "lightning without form" as a projectile without using his Vajra Noble Phantasm.
  • Unnamed Magical Staves: Various magical rods and staves that can use magecraft from the Age of Gods. Those seen have generated pillars of flame, concentrated lightning storms, and light beams that home in on their targets.
  • Unnamed Mirror Shield: A shield that effortlessly repels powerful magecraft such as from the likes of Rin and Illya's.
  • Unnamed Spellbook: An unnamed tome that allows Gilgamesh to utilize powerful Primeval Runes from the Age of Gods.
  • Unnamed Treasure Retriever: An unnamed treasure that enables Gilgamesh to retrieve any and all of his treasury's contents sent out regardless of how far they are or where they've been sent to.
  • Various Unnamed Homing Weapons: Gilgamesh possesses multiple weapons, such as scythes, scimitars, and axes that can always follow their chosen target even if they dodge in a vehicle as maneuverable as a modern fighter jet empowered by Lancelot's Knight of Owner.
  • Various Unnamed Shields: Gilgamesh possesses multiple shields that he normally deploys to halt attacks, including those that can overpower barrages from the Gate of Babylon.

Sword of Rupture, Ea: Also known as the "Sword that ripped apart the world." It is the ultimate and final Noble Phantasm contained within Gil's treasury, and it is his most powerful weapon as well as one of the few he trusts alongside Enkidu. A Divine Construct and the manifestation of the power which stabilized the planet, utilized by Gods to enact Genesis. The sword is crowned with the god, Ea, who is believed to be the deification of the same power that stabilized the planet by moving, crushing, and turning its surface. While classified as a "sword," it's more accurately described as a staff due to bearing a cylindrical "blade" with a blunt tip and independently rotating segments with three lithographs, though even then it existed before the concept of swords and staffs became a thing in the world, only classified as such for convenience. Even the sword itself is nameless, only gaining its name because of Gilgamesh giving it such after the God who helped to build the world after the planet was stabilized. The three lithographs that make up its "blade" represents heaven, earth, and the underworld, which when spun together (the middle going clockwise while the top and bottom go counter-clockwise) come to represent the universe. Unlike the countless other Noble Phantasms in his treasury that are mere prototypes of future named Noble Phantasms of other heroes, it is a sword that only he has and can wield as one who inherited the gods' essence. Gilgamesh is reluctant to use Ea against "lowlifes," such as Shirou Emiya, only drawing it to face worthy opponents like Alexander the Great and King Arthur. However, as shown with Shirou, Gilgamesh can be backed into using Ea when all else fails in his treasury or if forced into using it.

  • Enuma Elish: The Star of Creation That Split Heaven and Earth: Ea's function as a Noble Phantasm, a space cutting attack that shows the "Truth," was initially used as a powerful Nation-Building Authority that separated Heaven and Earth. It's Ea's maximum output as an EX-ranked Anti-World Noble Phantasm attack, with an output that matches if not surpasses that of even an A-rank Noble Phantasm like King Arthur's Excalibur. Its classification as "Anti-World" also makes it suitable for destroying reality marbles, worlds made by one's inner mind or heart manifested over reality by remaking the space around the user. When charging, it generates a vortex of energy while twisting, compressing, and intertwining air until the pressure exceeds the laws of physics, causing a space-time dislocation. Even the three lithographs, when spinning for its attack, are moving with a weight and power to that of moving tectonic plates. Once fully charged and fired, the energy vortex and space-time dislocation from the intense wind pressure deal catastrophic damage that can't be reduced without an attack of equal might or Anti-Purge defense. Additionally, the strike cuts space itself, allowing it to rend the world to show the "Truth", the planet's primordial form where no life can exist, the time when the earth was still, in its infancy, a molten body of rock and lava. While already powerful on its own, Enuma Elish can be boosted by support from the Noble Phantasms in the Gate of Babylon, further increasing the damage it deals. However, Gilgamesh rarely uses its full power in most instances; even just using Enuma Elish on its own with no further support from his treasury allowed Gilgamesh to effortlessly overpower Excalibur despite being said to have the same magnitude as the latter.

Sha Naqba Imuru (He who Saw the Deep): The Omniscient Omnipotent Star: Gilgamesh's strong willpower sublimated as a Noble Phantasm. An always active skill that grants him high-level Clairvoyance, allowing him to discern great truths with a glance. This ability enables him to identify Servants and their Noble Phantasms, as well as constantly see the best course of action. Should he choose to, Gilgamesh can even look at the possibilities of various parallel worlds, such as seeing his memories of the events of Hollow Ataraxia. The power of this Noble Phantasm is so potent that it allows him to see the past, present, and future, and even in times where he normally seals it off, he is able to gain glimpses to a world's future up to its end. Even despite this, of possessing eyes capable of seeing the future and be able to observe all things, even a piece of the truth that brought about Human History's demise in the World of Grand Order, Gilgamesh always keeps himself to limiting himself by intentionally turning them off. Additionally, his arrogance also leads him to reject certain world lines as impossible, including one he was consumed by the mud of the Grail.
