Summary[]
Caster is the Caster-class Servant of Souichirou Kuzuki and the Master of another Servant, Assassin. She was summoned as a Servant to participate in the Fifth Holy Grail War during the events of Stay Night, and is a Servant who can also be summoned by Chaldea during the events of Grand Order to help resolve the Singularities and Lostbelts.
Her True Name is Medea, a princess tragically labeled as a witch. The daughter of King Colchis, she was made to fall in love with the hero Jason by Aphrodite, and she betrayed her father for him and supported him on his journeys. However, she was ultimately abandoned by her lover, and the actions she took afterward are what cemented her reputation as a witch, murdering Jason's new bride and family before disappearing.
Powers and Stats[]
Dimensionality: 3D
Threat Level: Varies. Up to Dragon
Powers and Abilities:
- Magecraft (Is a master of Age of the Gods magecraft, capable of employing a number of spells far greater than even the finest of modern magus.)
- Energy Absorption (Can absorb energy blasts made of mana into her cloak. Can absorb people's life-force, their souls to extract energy through connecting to a leyline)
- Energy Projection (Has spells she conjures as rain of light, energy blasts that she can unleash like a bombing raid in rapid succession)
- Pocket Reality Manipulation (WoG states she could create "another world" through crafting small and large magecraft though not outright a reality marble.)
- Mind Manipulation (Has a spell that makes people think she's wearing normal clothes while she's still in her witches garb)
- Limited Flight (Type 5; Likely uses her magic to make herself float and fly, being a form of sorcery that's either matter control or teleportation to give herself the effect in her controlled area)
- Summoning (Can summon dragon tooth warriors to assist in her fights.)
- Power Bestowal (Strengthened Kuzuki with strength higher than normal to the point of being able to fight and harm Servants)
- Forcefield (Has a spell that uses the "concept of a shield", strong enough to be comparable to Heracles skin)
- Teleportation (Is capable of teleportation, both for herself and/or with others. This can be done forcibly on others who don't have the ability to resist her spell)
- Elemental Manipulation (Has been shown to use ice, fire, and lightning spells in FGO)
- Limited Power Nullification with Rule Breaker
Physical Strength: Wall (Though a Caster-Class Servant whose more attuned to fighting at a distance through magecraft and the like than directly up close, Medea is still a Servant who should be comparable to even the most least combat-able Servants who can crush human skulls in their bare hands. Despite not being made to kill, her Rule Breaker was able to pierce through Shirou's back, with the damage severe enough to sever his spinal cord)
Attack Potency: Varies with Magecraft (Her prowess in magecraft allows her to beat foes like Ciel and Bazett Fraga McRemitz via WoG. Each of her mana shots are A-rank, and even those from a simple spell are stated to be akin to a carpet bombing raid, with Shirou even stating they're dangerous enough fo even Archer to be taken out if directly hit), up to Mountain (Due to their high-rank of A, Medea has the power to pierce through God Hand and take up to 2-3 lives).
Durability: At least Wall (Took a magecraft spell from Rin Tohsaka from the back and recovered quickly. She also took multiple blows from Rin whose fists were strengthened with magecraft, making them hit harder than normal humans), possibly far higher (Took a purposefully glancing blow from Archer's Caladbolg that tore her body up and broke her shield, though was left heavily wounded even once she started healing). Mountain with barriers (Can create a "conceptual shield" supposed to be as tough as Heracles skin)
Speed: Supersonic (Can cast her spells faster than either Rin or Saber can do anything. Is also fast enough to conjure multi-verse spells faster than Saber can cover 10 meters. Reacted to and dodged a dozen arrows from Archer)
Intelligence: At least Genius. Having come from the Age of Gods, Medea became a magus who has mastered her era's form of magecraft, making her stand out from modern era magus to the point of being seen as "godly" relative to them. In the context of the Grail War, Medea's abilities as a Caster makes her more suited to fighting in the backlines as support letting others such as her Dragon Tooth Warriors to those like her master Kuzuki and her Servant Assassin to fight on the frontlines for her. Medea's skill in magecraft is such that as examplified by her High-Speed Divine Words skill, she's able to cast even High-Tier magecraft spells instantly at the rate of that of a low tier one-verse spell, showing her ability to conjure spells at a rate far beyond what even many magus' would need to do the same. This goes so far as to be claimed as one of the top five skilled in the world by Romani, the reincarnated human life of King Solomon who is deemed by many as the King of Magecraft, making her skill in magecraft notable to other highly respected magus'. Befitting her infamous rep as the Witch of Betrayal, Medea uses underhand tactics and strategy in order to maximize her potential from gathering energy for power to taking other Servants from their masters should the opportunity arises.
Stamina: High (Was able to survive a short time against Gilgamesh's Gate of Babylon, even attempting to try and flee unnoticed only to be spotted and attacked again, only lasting a moment longer due to her regeneration. Has enough magical energy on her lonesome to normally survive two days without a master, something that would require Servants with a high-rank Independent Action skill to need)
Range: Kilometers with magecraft (Can teleport anywhere in Fuyuki City and should be able to go anywhere at a range greater than Archer's sight, which can perceive anything in clear-sight within 4 km. Was able to control Shirou's body from a few kilometers despite not having met him in person yet)
Weakness: Servant Physiology weaknesses. Is not adept at close combat, requiring her to fight at a distance at all times. Rule Breaker is effective more as a tool made for dispelling any form of magecraft-affected item or person, and is noted for being limited in normal conditions outside of the context of the Grail War system. Rule Breaker's effect also only returns an item or person's state to a point before it was "created" by magic, as well as not being able to affect the Noble Phantasm of other Heroic Spirits regardless of how low the rank may be.

Noteworthy Techniques and Abilities[]
As one who has been trained by Circe, Medea is one of the greatest magi in the history of mankind. Her mastery is so great that Solomon, one of the few Heroic Spirits to have the qualifications to become Grand Caster (the peak of all Casters in their field), has listed her as among the top 5 in the world's history, placing her far above the likes of many modern magus and even other Caster-class Servants. The following spells she has shown to use are as follows:
- Rain of Light (Machia Hecatia Graea): Caster's main offensive spell that generates several magic circles that she aims at her targets and shoot rapid volleys of light beams at them. Each one of these beams is on the level of High-Thaumaturgy, having three times Shirou's maximum mana output and can annihilate Servants without a strong Magical Resistance with a direct hit. She normally restrains herself to just over a half dozen bolts at a time to avoid wasting mana, but the end result of her normal attacks resembles the aftermath of a bombing raid. When she has a much larger supply of mana, she can cover the sky in magical circles and demolish large swaths of land in seconds, unleashing powerful magical beams each with an A rank in power packed in them. Also, her strongest version of this spell is implied to be able to annihilate all of Fuyuki City in one use. It can even bypass Saber's Magic Resistance, but this requires a great deal of magical energy and has a significant charging time. Caster has shown the ability to create other variations of this spell, such as large orbs and smaller magical bullets.
- Ατλας (Atlas): Caster locks down the space around a foe, immobilizing them. The primary use of this spell is to leave the target vulnerable to her Rain of Light attack. However, sufficiently high magic resistance and outside intervention can shatter the spell and render it useless. It was, however, still able to briefly freeze Saber despite her immense A-Ranked magic resistance.
- Μαρδοξ (Argos): Caster can create barriers as strong as Berserker's God Hand, which is also described as being the "Concept of a shield".
- Tροψα (Trofa): Caster is capable of long-range teleportation, teleporting herself and Kuzuki across all of Fuyuki City. Within the Ryuudou Temple, she can use this in combat, teleporting to dodge attacks, and has even shown its use of teleporting others away. This is described as pulling the target and herself out of the third dimension and through many others, before placing them back in their original dimension.
- Elemental Magecraft: Caster has shown to be capable of manipulating the major elements without the use of a verbal incantation. She can create plumes of fire and immolate other magi, call down storms of ice, flood entire bridges and create soldiers from water, and perform other, similar attacks. With Αερο (Aero), Caster is capable of creating Plague Winds and freely manipulating air, changing the density of the atmosphere in order to trap the likes of Saber in place and creating waves of sharp, bladed air, and with Κεραινο (Celaeno), she can call down lightning from the heavens.
- Magic Threads: Medea is capable of creating threads made of Magical Energy that reach all across Fuyuki. When these threads connect to a person, Caster has shown to be able to take control of their bodies, even preventing them from screaming by freezing their throats. She was able to use some of these threads to help bind Saber once she had captured her.
- Magic Circle Creation: Caster is capable of creating a myriad of powerful magic circles that perform a variety of effects. She was able to use one to restrain Saber and prevent her from getting off of the circle, and in Fate/Unlimited Codes, she can create magic circles that forcibly bind people in place, trapping them in various positions, or even teleporting them.
- Darkness Manipulation: Caster can coat herself in magical energy to hide her presence. She used this to sneak up on Shirou, and attempted to use this to escape from Gilgamesh, but to no avail.
- Mental Interference: Medea has shown a variety of different ways that she can control others. She is able to cast powerful illusions that interfere with the perceptions of others, such as trapping Atrum Galliasta in a mental labyrinth. She was also able to destroy Shirou's mind in bad ends, and can shut down the senses of others, making Galliasta not realize he was being burnt alive and making Shirou blind. Furthermore, she is capable of hypnotizing others, causing them to fall under her control when certain commands are met, such as controlling Issei when Shirou inquired about caster to him. She was also able to create illusory duplicates of herself and other servants to fight, controlling them remotely and avoiding direct combat herself, though these duplicates are much weaker and lack the abilities of the originals.
- Bounded Fields: Caster is capable of creating bounded fields of various types, barriers that separate two spaces. She can create fields that weaken the statistics of servants that enter and protect against spiritual bodies, as well as an Anti-Sorcery field that diminishes the effects of enemy magecraft. In the Unlimited Blade Works route, she created a bounded field over a bridge that caused severe storms, flooding, and an endless supply of water-based dragon tooth warriors, that reverted all the damage done to the bridge when it faded afterwards.
- Territory Creation: A skill granted to the Caster class. The ability to create a territory to gather mana is a special characteristic of the Caster class. As befitting her status and learning as a magus from the Age of Gods, Caster's A-rank enables her to create a "temple" as her territory which is superior in rank to that of a Caster's "workshop". Caster's inherent magical capacity is not that great but because the place Caster selected to establish her territory is the underground limestone cave where the Greater Grail was instituted, Fuyuki City's greatest holy ground Ryuudou Temple, it is possible to gather an enormous amount of mana in a short time. She secured Ryuudou Temple as her main base solely to reserve enough mana to get Saber and Archer to obey her after using "Rule Breaker" having summoned Servant Assassin independently as well as to launch numerous high-level magecraft. Furthermore, the influence of her created territory extends not only to Ryuudou Temple but also its surroundings. The rapid breakdown in the health of those inhabiting the periphery of the territory was because their life force was plundered for magical energy, ranging from the wind to the very leylines itself. Because she understood the importance of the Ryuudou Temple territory the best, Assassin was ordered to guard the temple gate, and the interior was fortified so it could not be invaded easily. Furthermore, immediately following the beginning of the Holy Grail War, Caster almost never left the Ryuudou Temple, instead hiding on the grounds and raising mana. However, as soon as she made the judgment that she had collected enough magical energy for combat, she left the territory and turned on to the offensive.
- Teachings of Circe: The skill that symbolized Princess Medea's learning in the ways of magecraft at the Moon Goddess Hecate’s temple through her fellow disciple, the witch Circe. Circe was a true genius of magecraft but also a witch with several personality problems. Medea learned magic as a princess, so she can’t be called a genuine witch. However, it's because of her learning in magic that Medea was qualified enough to be deemed as a "witch" as otherwise she would not have been called such after being abandoned by Jason.
- Rule Breaker (Destroyer of All Talismans): A jagged ritual dagger that encapsulates the legend of the Witch of Betrayal, thus it is Medea's Noble Phantasm when summoned as a Servant. It is useless in most combat scenarios, only as useful as a knife in terms of killing power (though it is strong enough to still stab through someone in the back with enough force to sever their spinal cord). It is an anti-magic Noble Phantasm capable of dispelling and destroying any kind of thaumaturgy such as though involved in contracts made between parties, objects enchanted by them, and living beings who had been created through magecraft. There is a limit to the magic it can dispel, as Noble Phantasms are too powerful to be nullified by it regardless of their rank. Although it is noted to have very limited usages in normal situations, it is quite handy in the Holy Grail War as Caster can use it to break the contracts between Masters and Servants and take said Servants for herself.
