Notes: The reason that Bernkastel who appeared in the story is counted as an avatar is that is just like both Ikuko and Featherine are the role's she plays in the story while she looks from a higher plane of existence down to witches, same applies to Bernkastel who places "herself" as an avatar to play in games, that is why it is stated in TIPS that she is sometimes you and your best friend at the same time. This is also supported by the fact that in "Letter of Bernkastel", she calls Featherine "my friend" and it is said that she revived her, while in episode 6 when they met she was clearly scared of her and didn't expect her to be alive.
Noteworthy Techniques and Abilities
- Magic of Miracles: Bernkastel has the power to make anything happen as long as it's probability isn't zero, however, while in theory, this is the strongest power a witch can have, in practice it is like folding a paper hundred times so that it reaches the moon, meaning she has to wait for miracles to happen.
- Mystery Wedges: Bernkastel gathered many mysteries during her travel in the sea of fragments which she can use as a weapon to kill anyone who can't answer them.
- Territory Lord: As the Territory Lord, Bernkastel has the power to create rules which other people must obey and manipulate the plot of stories within the gameboard.
- Truths:
- Blue Truth: A "truth" used to conceptually deny the existence of the rejected party.
- Red Truth: Absolute truth which becomes the reality upon stating it and denies all concepts of evasion, resistance, and buying time against it.
- Golden Truth: A divine truth that is different yet equal to Red Truth, it is sometimes inferior and sometimes superior to Red.
- Cat Familiars: Bernkastel can summon her cat familiars any time she wants and they are so numerous that one can mistake their eyes for a sea of stars in the night sky.
