Summary[]
Beatrice Waltrud von Kirscheisen, also known by her Arcane Title Valkyrie , is a character in Dies Irae.
Beatrice was a simple officer for the Gestapo police alongside her superior Eleonore Von Wittenburg. One night in 1939, while escorting and conversing with Lisa Brenner, she and Eleonore witnessed a fight between two white-haired serial killers. The two tried to diffuse the fight and arrest them, but was unable to on their own, and the fight was only broken by the arrival of their superior Reinhard Heydrich, who had proceeded to diffuse it in his own way and, after some time, she, along with Eleonore and Riza, and others who were there that night would become the first members to join the reformed Longinus Drehzein Orden.
Like her fellow Legion members, Beatrice would also perform atrocious acts to gather souls to become powerful as well as to prepare for the Transmutation of Gold to elevate Reinhard to Godhood. However, Beatrice began to start seeing how horrifying monstrous Reinhard and Mercurius really were leading to her desire to prevent the return of the Golden Beast after Berlin in the hopes of freeing her comrade, Eleonore, from the clutches of the Beast.
Although she eventually failed and fell in battle by the hands of her lover, Kai Sakurai (then third Tubal Cain, with both of them becoming the sacrifice to open the first Swastika in Suwahara City, her actions and presence were felt by numerous characters of the main story, particularly in Eleonore and Kei Sakurai, and depending on the route, she even comes back from death to help either to take down Reinhard or to take down the Throne God that reigns over the world.
Powers and Stats[]
Dimensionality: 3D
Threat Level: At least Demon+, likely Dragon-
Powers and Abilities:
- All the abilities and resistances of Ewigkeit (Up to Ber'iah)
Yetzirah:
- Lightning Manipulation (Her Relic, Thrud Walküre, can discharge powerful bolts of lightning, strong enough to do this to a normal human as demonstrated by Cain's usage)
Ber'iah:
- Statistics Amplification, Intangibility and Transformation (Donner Totentanz - Walküre allows her to turn into lightning so that no conventional weapons, even Eleonore's flames, can harm her. It also increases her speed to enable her moving at lightning speeds)
Physical Strength: At least City level, likely Mountain level
Attack Potency: At least City, likely Mountain (Fought Wilhelm Ehrenburg evenly despite the latter being in his Ber'iah, their battle gradually becoming more and more destructive although it's implied Wilhelm could have won if their battle wasn't interrupted due to him gradually taking in Beatrice's power to bolster his own. After her fight with him, Beatrice went on to immediately fight Kai Sakurai, who was progressing to becoming the third and latest Tubal Cain, with their fight eventually ending in a draw that resulted in both of their deaths.)
Durability: At least City, likely Mountain (Could trade blows with Wilhelm. Fought Kai immediately after her fight with Kaziklu bey, to the point both dealt a mutual blow to each other)
Speed: Massively Hypersonic+ base (Can keep up with Schreiber, who can move at speeds of Mach 1000 and beyond prior to Ber'iah. The speed of her sword, when wielded by Kei, is faster than lightning, with only the likes of Schreiber and Ren being superior to it.), higher with Ber'iah (Can increase her speed further using her Briah, which allows her to become lightning and move at said speeds enough to the point of tagging her old superior if barely)
Intelligence: High. Having trained for decades as a member of the Obsidian Round Table, Beatrice is a masterful combatant whose attacks are described as nothing less than artwork, reaching the limits of human potential in swordsmanship. She is also calm in combat, capable of comprehending the situation before her such as her fight with her former superior while the latter had backup but remained cautious since she knew that the commander had no real openings. She is also an opportunist who seizes every opening she sees, cutting into Eleonore's neck after her mind wandered to the Beast with the support of her allies.
Stamina: High (Die Ewigkeit is what imbues the user with stamina that defies physics and thus, should be comparable to Wilhelm Ehrenburg. Beatrice is also able to endure running 10 kilometers without breaking a sweat or feeling tired, regarding the feat as being "extraordinary". Fought a battle against Wilhelm, then immediately after their fight with Kai, the third Tubal Cain and whom their battle ended in a draw of mutual blows)
Range: Extended melee range with Thrud Walküre, dozens of meters with lightning attacks
Weakness: Standard Ewigkeit Weaknessses.
Arsenal[]
Her Relic, Thrud Walküre
Noteworthy Techniques and Abilities[]
Thrud Walküre: Beatrice's Ahnenerbe, Materialization Type. It is the blade believed to have belonged to the Valkyrie Thrud, the daughter of Thor and Sif. While its validity as a sword of a demigod isn't confirmed and only merely believed, it is a white saber with a long history of having been passed down through several lines of German nobility until it came into Beatrice's hands, where it integrated itself with her soul following her induction into the L.D.O. and learning Ewigkeit. It has the ability to control and generate lightning, with said lightning powerful enough to be a threat to even the normal members of the L.D.O.
“ | Forgive me, for I have sinned. Borne of loyalty, your will I once defied. |
” |
– Beatrice enacting her Ber'iah |
Donner Totentanz - Walküre: Beatrice’s Transcendence Ber'iah, derived from her desire, “I want to be the light that guides my comrades on the battlefield”. A desire born to be the light that guides her friends and comrades from the battlefield to Valhalla, it basically turns Beatrice’s body into pure lightning, gaining its speed and characteristics and making it difficult to attack her physically as she is as intangible and ephemeral as real lightning. Using her Ber'iah also seemingly increases Beatrice's power, allowing her to keep up and trade blows with the likes of fellow powerful peers like Kaziklu Bey and Kai Sakurai.
