Summary
Apophis is the main antagonist of the Im: Great Priest Imhotep manga series. Originally created in the Primordial Ocean of Chaos by The Ogdoads alongside Thoth as their aids and guardian gods before the Existence of the Universe, both Thoth and Apophis were embodiments of the Dual Concepts of Darkness and Light, Night and Day, and Moon and Sun respectively. However, The Ogdoads realized that Apophis was consumed by the Darkness greatly and cannot be the Sun/Light/Day and thus, they separated the Light from him and made it into Atum who went to create and develop the Universe as well as Gods called The Enneads from the Primordial Ocean of Chaos. However, due to the presence of Light in the Universe, people became aware of the Darkness that is Apophis and began to fear and hate him greatly. This angered Apophis to the point he went on to devour The Sun to destroy the World. However, he was faced with The Enneads where they would kill him every night but Apophis would come back every morning due to being linked to Atum thereby making him Immortal. Realizing this issue, The Enneads used all of their powers to create a dimension called Hell within which they sealed away Apophis but not before the latter managed to fragment a part of his soul and infect humanity with it thereby making it so that everyone has the potential to become a Magai. The Enneads set up the Soul Destiny for Humanity and made it so that a specific human being was born in a periodical manner with the Sun Soul who would be sacrificed to cleanse the Miasma in Hell and prevent it from overflowing into the world. However 3000 Years ago, Imhotep tried to save his best friend Prince Djoser who was the bearer of the Sun Soul and due to complications, he not only ended up failing to save his friend but also erased the gates of Hell causing the Miasma to overflow on Earth and create Magai while Apophis was released from his prison and possessed Djoser's body. Through the intervention of Thoth, Djoser's body was sealed away but Apophis was able to escape and throughout 3000 years he was not only responsible for inciting various disastrous & chaotic events like Wars, Crimes, and so on, but also harvest Souls infected by Magai which he could gather sufficient power to not only kill The Enneads, but also the The Ogdoads so that everything can be plunged back into the Dark Void of Chaos and Apophis will reign supreme as the Guardian God.

Noteworthy Techniques and Abilities
- The Mark of Black Serpant: A technique used by Apophis where he fragmented his soul and cursed all of Humanity while planting his fragmented soul in them. This caused humans to develop the potential to become Magai or False Gods with dark evil powers. However, the process is slow and initially starts with humans generating darkness and negative emotions within their hearts and souls which slowly builds up and turns them into evil beings with superpowers while making them descend into madness untill they either die or become a Magai. However, the true nature of this ability is to not only create Magai, but to reclaim back the collected power developed by the fragmented soul of the Magai which becomes part of Apophis once again while boosting his powers and abilities.
- Black Hole: A signature move of Apophis, he summons Black Holes which have super high gravity and can swallow up anything. However, these black holes are very versatile because they are made of Darkness of Apophis and thus can be used to create a portal in Space to connect to different places or dimensions, created as tiny mist drops to attack the enemy from the inside, BFR people, and so on.
- Black Fire: Another move of Apophis, he shoots black flames at his target which is entirely composed of his black energy or darkness. He can also absorb normal or even divine fire of Ra and Sekhmet to generate the black flames and shoot at his opponents.
