Summary
The Anti-Spiral race (Hanrasen Zoku, "Anti Spiral tribe"), also known as the Anti-Spiral (アンチ-スパイラル, Anchisupairaru?), is the collective minds of the Spiral people who chose to seal their bodies in a state of suspension in order to prevent their Spiral Power from arising beyond control. The Anti-Spiral took it upon itself to control the population of other Spiral beings across the Universe with the goal of preventing the Spiral Nemesis, the threshold of Spiral Power, from running amok and destroying the Universe.
The Anti-Spiral battle opposing Spirals using extremely advanced technology that is so powerful that it bends the laws of physics and reality. Because Spiral Power is driven by willpower, the Anti-Spiral will use tactics to instill fear, hopelessness, and absolute despair in order to suppress any Spiral uprising.
Powers and Stats
Dimensionality: Varies, 11D or lower (Can shift their size and dimensionality)
Threat Level: Omega
Powers and Abilities:
- Superhuman Physical Characteristics
- Aura
- Spiral Power (Type 2)
- Martial Arts (Fought toe to toe against Simon, who excelled in martial arts. Is the embodiment of the whole race's minds so presumably has extraordinary knowledge and experience regarding hand-to-hand combat[1])
- Self-Power Nullification and Self-Sealing (Sealed their bodies in a state of suspension to prevent their Spiral Power from evolving[2])
- Light Manipulation (Can appear as a light entity[3])
- Body Control (Can multiply their arms and extend them as flexible tendrils[4])
- Flight (Type 2; Can levitate in vacuum space; their existence is unbound by gravity[5])
- Self-Sustenance (Types 1, 2 and 3; Lacked a physical body[6])
- Higher Dimensional Existence (The Anti-Spiral are natives of their 11-dimensional universe[7])
- Size Manipulation and Large Size (Varies in true form, Type 10 as the Granzeboma and Super Granzeboma[8])
- Non-Corporeal, Invisibility, and Abstract Existence (Type 1; Lacked a physical form and was stated to be invisible. They appear as the collective thoughts of the Anti-Spiral race; their existence maintains the Anti-Spirals across the Universe, where their deaths caused their pocket universe and Nia to vanish. The Granzeboma and Super Granzeboma are the Anti-Spiral Power manifested as humanoid mechas[9])
- Acausality (Types 2 and 4; Existentially unbound by spacetime and gravity, their homeworld is separated from the continuous spacetime with an unfixed flow of time. Their isolated universe has different laws of physic where common logics don't apply and is unaffected by the multiverse's quantum cosmology that neither it nor themselves have parallel counterparts[10])
- Regeneration (Low-Godly, practically Mid-Godly; Their abstract body, which lacks soul and matter, returned even after Boota destroyed their body completely[11])
- Immortality (Types 1 and 3; The Anti-Spiral are timeless and can reform their thought-body even after it is destroyed[12])
- Conceptual Energy Manipulation (Type 2), Reality Warping, and Higher Dimensional Manipulation (The Anti-Spiral use the Spiral Power to manipulate reality in any way, like by putting spacetime and probability under control or completely altering the laws of physics. Capable of influencing the universe they created in malleable ways[13])
- Pocket Reality Manipulation, Physics Manipulation, Time Manipulation, Probability Manipulation, Life Manipulation, and Death Manipulation (Created their own isolated universe that oscillated between two higher-dimensional membranes. The Anti-Spiral controlled everything in their universe, which included laws and physics, time, probability, and even death and birth[14])
- Spacetime Manipulation, Power Absorption, Transmutation, and Gravity Manipulation (With the Galactic Spiral Abyss; Created a condensed spacetime that can convert Spiral Power or willpower into mass or negative energy. It pulled down objects by strong gravity into the abyss, or Death Spiral Machine, its core[15])
- Quantum Manipulation, Reality Warping, Probability Manipulation, Mind Manipulation, and Power Nullification (With the Multiverse Labyrinth; By manipulating the quantum cosmology interpretation, the Anti-Spiral can trap victims' consciousness to perceive infinite possibilities that will spawn infinite universes instant to instant. Anyone who is capable of recognizing possibilities won't be able to escape, and their Spiral Power will be halted[16])
- Creation, Spacetime Manipulation, Energy Projection, Deconstruction to Quantum Level (With the Infinity Big Bang Storm; Created an eternal energy projection that is on par with that of the Big Bang by compressing spacetime, which would reduce anything it hits to a quantum level[17])
- Teleportation (Scale from Nia who could teleport between locations with just a thought[18])
- Portal Creation (Scale from Nia, who could shift between dimensions with a spatial portal[19])
- Probability Manipulation and Durability Negation (Far superior to Kittan, who passively avoid the occurrence of failure as small as 0%; can negate enemies' chances to block with Probability Alteration Missiles; can decrease their enemies' winning percentage down to 0% within their universe[20])
- Time Travel and Invulnerability (With the Schrödinger Warp; Can eliminate the chances of them being hit by manipulating multidimensional probability fluctuations by jumping randomly on the time axis[21])
- Power Mimicry (Can replicate power and abilities in their own style[22])
- Information Manipulation and Biological Manipulation (Created Nia as a virtual lifeform whose sole existence is made from information as their messenger[23])
- Information Analysis and Memory Manipulation (Analyzed Nia's memories and experiences via her information[24])
- BFR (Made Nia forcefully disappear[25])
- Transformation (Transformed Granzeboma to Super Granzeboma[26])
- Telepathy and Illusion Creation (Can speak telepathically and show events in the minds of those who wish[27])
- Danmaku (Via laser barrage[28])
- Technology Manipulation (Created highly advanced mechas like Mugann, Ashtanga, and Visaka Class that only appear in the manga and script[29])
- Creation and Existence Erasure (The Anti-Spiral decide the Visaka Class' existence by manipulating death and birth, making it appear and disappear out of nowhere[30])
- Electricity Manipulation, Explosion Manipulation, and Statistics Amplification (Mugann can drastically increase their speeds, induce electricity, and explode when destroyed[31])
- Forcefield (The Ashtangas can make a protecting forcefield far superior to Muganns'[32])
Resistance to:
- Spacetime Manipulation and Gravity Manipulation (The Anti-Spiral are existentially unbound by spacetime and gravity[33])
- Deconstruction to Quantum Level (Upscaling from the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann that can survive the Infinity Big Bang Storm in some time[34])
- Probability Manipulation (Upscaling from the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann that resists their probability-altering abilities[35])
- Void Manipulation (Completely unharmed when their universe turns into nothingness after the Giga Drills clash[36])
- Soul Manipulation and Mind Manipulation (The consciousness behind the manifestation doesn't have a soul; it is the manifestation of the countless minds)
Physical Strength: Hyper Dimensional+ Level (Fought against Simon on foot)
Attack Potency: Hyper Dimensional+ (Created and have complete control over their own universe, which is a manifold between the 10 and 11-dimensional membranes that make up a complex manifold of 11-dimensional spacetime. Capable of easily transcending time and space and manipulating the multiverse by expanding its quantum cosmology interpretation to set the Multiverse Labyrinth, which corresponds to an 11-dimensional brane multiverse. Created the Infinity Big Bang Storm, which is equal to the Big Bang, a phenomenon that started all of the Universe's spacetime and dimensions)
Durability: Hyper Dimensional+ (Tanked punches from Simon. Maintain their own universe via sheer existence, so that if they die, their universe will be destroyed)
Speed: At least TransUniversalx, likely Immeasurable (Approximately tens quintillion times faster than the speed of light. The Anti-Spiral and Tengen Toppa members are likely to have spatiotemporal crossing speeds), with Limited Omnipresent (They can appear everywhere within their pocket universe)
Intelligence: Cosmic Genius. The Anti-Spiral are shown to be extremely smart, being able to suppress the Spiral Lifeforms for many generations. Also benefits from the merit of being a higher-dimensional collective consciousness. They understood the multiverse and its phenomena, developed hyper-advanced technology, and were capable of entering and manipulating higher dimensions. The Anti-Spiral know things that Lordgnome doesn't, a brilliant scientist who made many breakthroughs in the field of genetic engineering through his experiments with cloning technology and physics through his experiments in spatio-temporal travel and engineering, an exceptionally intelligent being whose knowledge and intellect surpasses all other humans in the series.
Stamina: Limitless (The Anti-Spiral have infinite Spiral Energy and is the projection of the race's consciousness)
Range: Hyper Dimensional+
Weakness: Paranoia. The Anti-Spiral are convinced that the overuse of Spiral Power will end up resulting in "Spiral Nemesis", when a mega-black hole will appear to crush every bit of time and space itself, colliding all of existence into a dimensionless singularity—devouring all possible reality into nothingness.
Arsenal
Standard Equipment: Their mechas, such as Muganns, Ashtangas, and Visaka Class (only appear in the manga and script). Can create stronger weapons like Granzeboma and Super Granzeboma.
Noteworthy Techniques and Abilities
- Galactic Spiral Abyss: The Galactic Spiral Abyss is an area created by the Death Spiral Machine to kill Spiral Lifeforms by absorbing Spiral Power (people's will) and converting it into ultra-dense space (negative energy) that resembles water. The Death Spiral Machine, its core, is protected by a Spiral Conversion Field.
- Multiverse Labyrinth: An ability that traps the consciousnesses of the victims forever inside the infinite possibilities by materializing the multiverse generated by the divergence of the time axis, then replacing it with infinite universes instant to instant as the possibilities are perceived. As long as the target is intelligent, they cannot escape this technique.
- Laser Barrage: The Granzeboma briefly displays the ability to rapidly fire red energy bolts from its eyes, mouths, fingers, and the glowing white spots on its body.
- Galaxy Shuriken: Using its larger shoulder arms, the Granzeboma can toss spiral galaxies with enough force and speed to have them act as bladed projectiles.
- Infinity Big Bang Storm: The Granzeboma grabs two nearby spiral galaxies, crushes them together, and compresses their matter and energy into a spacetime ball. It then unleashes the resulting pressure as an enormous, eternal blast of raw energy that rivals the Universe's creation. The blast can destroy opponents at the quantum level and annihilate them down to their very last scrap of DNA.
- Anti-Spiral Drills: Although the Granzeboma is the Anti-Spiral creation, it can still create drills. The Granzeboma displayed two forms of drills: large Giga Drill-like weapons on its hands and narrow, tentacle-like drills released from its mouth and the Anti-Spiral homeworld on its head.
- Anti-Spiral Giga Drill Break: An attack exclusive to the Super Granzeboma. The move is a perfect copy of Super Tengen Toppa Giga Drill Break, except with an Anti-Spiral style drill. Probably the most powerful attack in the franchise, this move shattered the Drill Breaks of the Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, the Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann, and the Arc Gurren Lagann, but was eventually overwhelmed by the regular Gurren Lagann due Spiral evolution.
